i couldn't even make it to any specific round number, because let's face it, there's just not that many good movies. in no order whatsoever. i don't think it's fair to stack movies against each other that are in all ways vastly different from each other.

i find myself getting really (unnecessarily) upset over these top whatever scariest movies ever made. ask a bunch of assholes who don't know anything about movies to comment on them. amazing. might as well ask my friends to compile a list of the scariest movie scenes of all time. they know many things. but horror, they do not. so i did what any nerd would do. i made my own. that someone else is bound to disagree with, and get all up-in-arms about.

the snob in me makes it very very difficult to include anything from america from the past 20 years. but if you look closely, you might find one or two. also, (1) omar epps and naomi watts immediately disqualified their movies. and (2) i think fright night, poltergeist, and exorcist are all too funny to make the cut. deal with it.
